Random Song I’ve Produced & Mixed: “Soweto Nightclub” by Super Chron Flight Brothers. My man’s uncle passed away and left behind a stack of records. I made this beat off of one of them the next day or so, I’ll never forget that. I did a lot of panning stuff on this mix since the production was so busy. I especially like the vocal sample that I flipped at two different pitches and then panned one L and one R to make it sound like more then one person. You can get this on Itunes here from Backwoodz Hip-Hop: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/emergency-powers-the-world/id304226767
Worked on a track for billy woods’ upcoming LP called “Pump Up the Volume” today. billy may be coming through a big name cameo for the track that would be really ill. But, even with out it, the track is really good. I finished up all the drops for it today. Look for Nasa production on this record from Backwoodz Hip-Hop.
Yesterday and Today are being spent remixing the remix of 11:00A.M.’s “The Last Thing You Want” taken from their Uncommon release of “Free*”. Nasa had remixed this track several months ago, but during the mastering process became dissatisfied and is scrambling to re-do the entire thing by Thursday. It’s coming along nicely though, check for the “Free* Remixes” project from Uncommon Records in about a month. Mastered at Nasa Labs.
Just Mastered: “Takatani Edit” (Superhumanoids Remix) by Meanest Man Contest. Check out this track, it’s a great example of a non-hip hop track mastered at Nasa Labs. Any genre can get a great sound here, the client was especially pleased with the low end response achieved. Check for this track, being made available online soon, we’ll post a link when that happens.
